"Kainos" is ancient Greek for something new — something that didn't exist before. Through the 2000s, India's smaller cities watched corporate hospitals rise in the metros while they were left with single-doctor clinics; anything beyond a minor procedure meant a long, costly journey to Delhi.
In 2012, the Dahiya family decided to change that for their hometown. Today Kainos serves a region of nearly 70 lakh people with care at international standards, at prices at least 40% lower than leading Delhi NCR hospitals.
