Neonatology (NICU)

The smallest patients need the biggest effort. The Kainos NICU cares for premature and critically ill newborns with a 95% survival rate against a national average of 65% — built on round-the-clock neonatal cover, 1:1 nursing and equipment matched to UK practice.

The unit is led by a paediatrician with FNB critical care training, supported by a consultant with Cambridge neonatal fellowship experience, and parents are kept close: we allow NICU visiting at fixed hours rather than shutting families out.
